Earlier on Sunday morning, Ellen Barkin took to Twitter to say she was shoved to the ground by a NYPD officer as she was walking to her apartment on 13th street and 6th avenue. She was also shoved as she was trying to help a girl who was arrested, but had obviously done nothing wrong, and recorded the rest of what happened.

All I have to say is that I’m disgusted. I feel like people can get arrested for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or looking a certain way, and it’s absolutely wrong. 

We need to fix our broken “justice” system.
